Youth Indoctrination

In the US we sing songs showing our pride in our Country; In North Korea, they sing songs about Dear Leader. This display is uber creepy.

Obama's Ministry of Truth

I don't know how else to say it: This is frightening.

Barack Obama is using local law enforcement in Missouri to intimidate and harass those that dare criticize The One. Specifically, the campaign has demanded state law enforcement to prosecute any one that would say anything that could be a "lie or run a misleading TV ad" against Obama. MO Governor Matt Blunt issued an official response to this abuse calling Obama's "Police State tactics" a gross violation of free speech rights.

Barack Obama has attempted to stifle free speech in the past. It started with the announcement his middle name (Hussein) was off limits. Then it was Michelle, then it was a ban on trying to connect Obama to Rezco. It got heightened when Obama declared the Ayers subject not to be discussed (using minions here and an attempt at using the Department of Justice here.) There were the warning letters to GOP donors and the threats of lawsuits against the NRA.

All of the above was cause for concern, however this new step toward stifling dissent, called eerily enough the "Truth Squad", is chilling. It began in PA and moved to MO where Gateway Pundit has a great wrap up. These goon tactics seem to be coming to a state near you.

Most recently, Obama banned the use of signs at a rally in Virginia. Its for "safety reasons", the campaign says. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the Obama hecklers (riiiiggghhhttt). This guy is a fanatical, socialist thug. If people don't wake up there are going to be documentaries in a few years about El Presidente los dios where the interviewees say "I never saw it coming".

Obama: Asked Not To Wear Bracelet

I want to say something snippy about this, but I just can't. Its callous and cold beyond measure. Barack Obama's "me too" moment is worse than the fact he forgot the fallen hero's name and had to read it off the bracelet - the family has asked him to stop using their son's name, stop wearing the bracelet, and Barack has not complied because that isn't the politically expedient thing to do. Senator Obama doesn't care one iota about that young soldier. He cares about himself and this is a shocking (even for Obama) display of cruelty.

After the report that Barack had been asked to stop using SGT Ryan Jopek's name started to hit the blogosphere, the mother reported to ABC news she was "ecstatic" that Senator Obama had mentioned her son's name. The father (and ex-husband) noted she seemed afraid to say much because she does, in fact, support Obama's run for the Presidency (the father, whose opinion ought to count here, too) does not. I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist but I can't help but wonder if the Obama campaign didn't put a bit of pressure on the mother - she admits sending the emails to her ex-husband saying she wants Obama to stop, but is then "ecstatic"? Something just doesn't add up there.

Dear John McCain

Dear Senator McCain,

I am writing to you to discuss the debate. I am sure you realize the MSM will be falling all over themselves to make Senator Obama the winner. No big thing, anyone could predict that before the first words were uttered, and let's not forget these same "experts" declared Kerry the winner in all the debates against President Bush. I do want you to take heart in the fact the BBC declared tiesies. What that really means is you cleaned Obama's clock.

There are a few things, however, that may be helpful for your next debate. 1. Don't wear a striped tie. It doesn't play well over TV, and it really doesn't play well over video stream which is how many watch these things. 2. Look at Senator Obama when you are speaking to him. Perhaps you thought you might burst out laughing what with his childish ugly faces, but seriously, it makes you look more commanding if you can say "oh please" while staring him down. 3. The Oh Please moment was great. Its what we all thought when Senator Obama's camp said they simply would tell Ahmadinejad he can't have nukes. You need more of those, Obama gives many opportunities for this to happen. 4. You said "Senator Obama doesn't understand...." a lot. Because he doesn't. Let's come up with a few different ways to say this. Try "Once again, Senator Obama is revealing his lack of knowledge".

In general, don't be afraid to call a spade a spade. When Obama had to say "ME TOO! ME TOO!" with the bracelet story, the best response would be "Do you realize you just said I have one too, nanny nanny boo boo? Would you like to stick your tongue out at me now in a grand finale? Presidents of the Greatest Country on Earth cannot look like immature morons, Barry. After this debate I will help you on decorum". When Obama lies his pants off up there, point it out! Say " You were a state senator when the initial Iraq vote came up so it didn't really matter what you thought at that time".

Senator, you were on point and proved that you have a command Senator Obama only dreams about. You rushed in after working on the economic debacle and still came out on top. You wrapped up the debate poignantly while Obama said something about his dead beat dad, which didn't make a lot of sense. Onward and upward!

Your very affordable advisor,

AH

McCain Makes a Decision

Obama is flummoxed.

Team McCain announced it will suspend campaigning so Senator McCain can go back to Washington and address the financial crisis. McCain stated he would stop all ads and delay the debate until the situation has resolution. Senator Obama, however, would like to carry on because:

"It's my belief that this is exactly the time when the American people need to hear from the person who, in approximately 40 days, will be responsible for dealing with this mess."

And they did, Senator. President Bush spoke this evening on the crisis, and though not ideal, he explained quite succinctly what needs to happen in order to stabilize the economy.

Team Mccain's move was bold. It clearly sends a message that Senator McCain puts country before politics, and in essence has forced Senator Obama to follow McCain's lead. I am confused as to the reluctance on Senator Obama's part to return to Washington. After all, he has been saying over and over he has a plan to save the economy. Can't he just fly his spiffy new plane right on over to the Hill, explain this great plan in detail and save us from impending doom?

Should Senator McCain be unable to attend the debate so that he can work on a solution, Obama has a few options available to him. 1. Debate Sarah Palin 2. Continue debating Senator Biden 3. Debate McCain's empty chair. If I was advising Barry, I would suggest option 3 as of all his choices, this is the one where he has the most potential to win.

Update - Obama is going to Washington as President Bush invited Obama (and McCain) to a meeting to discuss the situation. Good job, Obama! What a way to lead the charge in the face of adversity.

But Sarah Palin is the Dumb One

This week's episode of "On the Campaign Trail With Camp Obama" is pure gold. Even more so than last week's when Senator Joe Biden asked a wheelchair bound politician to stand up and be recognized.

Ol' Joe met with Katie Couric , who is not pegging the smart-o-meter herself apparently, but we will get to that in a minute. Biden tells Katie the McCain email ad was "terrible". Realizing the ad was actually done by his team, Biden deflects and says Barry O didn't approve of such an ad before it aired. That part at the end saying "I am Barack Obama and I approved this ad" was planted there by an ingenious member of the Right Wing Conspiracy.

More funny than that is this quote:

"Part of what being a leader does is to instill confidence is to demonstrate what he or she knows what they are talking about and to communicating to people ... this is how we can fix this," Biden said. "When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'look, here's what happened.'"

I am fairly positive FDR did not get on television to communicate anything about the stock market crash in 1929. I am also confident in pointing out that even if television was an available medium to reach Americans, Hoover would have been the one communicating the "here's what happened".

Does Katie Couric call Biden on this? Nope. Not even body language suggesting Ms. Couric realized Mr. Biden didn't have the right president and TV was not yet being massed produced, let alone sitting in everyone's living room.

Moving along, Barry says Joe should have waited before saying he was against the AIG bailout - it sort of deflated Barry's McCain smack down for McCain saying the same thing as Joe! THEN Biden declares he is against clean coal production, but oopsie, Obama is for it.

Its only Tuesday. I do have a thought for the Dufus/Dufus ticket: they should consider using their superior technical acumen and send emails informing the other what they are going to say - perhaps this will increase the odds they actually say the same thing.

**thank you to Mark Levin for the Dufus/Dufus ticket.

Dems Don't Like Black People

and it may cause Obama the race. Or so says a poll done by Stanford using some sort of mathematical something or other. Though I am no scientist (nor do I play one on TV and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express recently), the whole thing felt a bit self serving and hokey. For instance:

Lots of Republicans harbor prejudices, too, but the survey found they weren't voting against Obama because of his race. Most Republicans wouldn't vote for any Democrat for president — white, black or brown.

We do harbor prejudices - mainly against democrats of any color. That wasn't what these brilliant statisticians were driving at, however. They want us to be racists. The facts are what they are, and if any party can stand up and say "I don't care what color you are, so long as you can do the job", its the Republicans. In fact, Colin Powell could have waltzed into the White House at one time. He would need to take 3 big steps to the right at this point if he had such aspirations, but if he was willing to do so, he would be a shoe it. Condi Rice is another one - she has disapointed many of us and as with Powell, she would need to re-evaluate her stands, most espeically her want to appease in the Middle East. If she does an about face here, she would have an incredible shot at being POTUS. The difference in Powell and Rice over Obama is Rice and Powell have actually acomplished much in their lives.

The point of this study is to say Dems are racists as well and that is why Obama may lose this race. It really has nothing to do with Obama being a moron. Need proof? Well let's ask Mr. Clouse:

"We still don't like black people," said John Clouse.

Enough said.

Steve Almond Doesn't Support Our Troops

Every now and again a lib drops the charade and says what they are thinking - I don't support the troops because they are trained killers.

There are, of course, plenty of laudable functions that soldiers serve. But their sworn duty is to wage war. They may perform this duty with courage. They may feel great love for their country. But we don't pay them simply for their patriotism or integrity. We also pay them to kill people.

What this twit is missing is these "killers" sacrifice as they do to protect our rights, one of the big ones being free speech. Is the irony lost on Mr. Almond that he is utilizing this right as secured by these war wagers? The fact that our military went to Iraq and removed a dictator that killed Iraqi citizens in horrific and brutal ways, as well as threatened our Ccountry by defying multiple UN orders doesn't even matter to him or his selfish world.

A Soldier's sworn duty is to protect and serve this country, which includes protecting this imbicile. It is because of Soldiers this cat can walk through our streets on a daily basis without fear of his head being lopped off, not despite them. The biggest deterrent to war is a strong military, not the other way around.

It has been my observation that men such as Mr. Almond don't have the cojones to sacrifice for something bigger than themselves, therefore they must condemn those that do.

Barack Obama Treats Soldiers As Pawns

Un-friggen-believable. According to an Article by Amir Taheri, during Barack Obama's visit to Iraq, he requested Iraqi leadership delay agreement to withdraw troops until after US Elections. Camp Obama responded to the article:

But Obama's national security spokeswoman Wendy Morigi said Taheri's article bore "as much resemblance to the truth as a McCain campaign commercial."

In fact, Obama had told the Iraqis that they should not rush through a "Strategic Framework Agreement" governing the future of US forces until after President George W. Bush leaves office, she said.

Huh. I suppose if I had an Ivy League education rather than this silly little degree I hold from some school in Texas, I would be more nuanced. If I were more nuanced, I am sure I would see the difference in asking the Iraqis to delay agreement until after elections versus taking longer to reach agreement until after elections.

Regardless of which version you prefer, the lives of Soldiers were secondary to Senator Obama getting credit for the draw down over George W. Bush. Since Obama chose to say things he had no right to say, I will take the opportunity to point out what a fraud he is: During this time, Obama was telling the camera we needed to "bring them home" all the while he was scheming to leave them there. Just another amazing display of integrity from Camp Obama.

Charles Gibson Interview - Not Going As Planned

The best laid plans...

Don't think the media softballs Obama? Courtesy of Hot Air, look at the questions asked by Charlie Gibson of Obama, followed by the ones asked of Palin:

Obama -

How does it feel to break a glass ceiling?
How does it feel to “win”?
How does your family feel about your “winning” breaking a glass ceiling?
Who will be your VP?
Should you choose Hillary Clinton as VP?
Will you accept public finance?
What issues is your campaign about?
Will you visit Iraq?
Will you debate McCain at a town hall?
What did you think of your competitor’s [Clinton] speech?

Palin -

Do you have enough qualifications for the job you’re seeking?
Specifically have you visited foreign countries and met foreign leaders?
Aren’t you conceited to be seeking this high level job?
Questions about foreign policy-territorial integrity of Georgia-allowing Georgia and Ukraine to be members of NATO-NATO treaty-Iranian nuclear threat-what to do if Israel attacks Iran-Al Qaeda motivations-the Bush Doctrine-attacking terrorists harbored by Pakistan
Is America fighting a holy war? [misquoted Palin]

ABC also did a bang up job of editing this, too. Please read the full transcript here.

No bias here, move along.

But Can Obama Google?

By now we have all heard and or seen the ad from Camp Obama declaring John McCain unfit for the position of POTUS because he can't figure out email. I am guessing they don't have google at Camp Obama headquarters - either that or everyone is still in Alaska desperately looking for dirt on Sarah.

Had one of the 300 advisers done a bit of surfing themselves, they may have discovered this gem from 2000 -

In certain ways, McCain was a natural Web candidate. Chairman of the Senate Telecommunications Subcommittee and regarded as the U.S. Senate's savviest technologist, McCain is an inveterate devotee of email. His nightly ritual is to read his email together with his wife, Cindy. The injuries he incurred as a Vietnam POW make it painful for McCain to type. Instead, he dictates responses that his wife types on a laptop. "She's a whiz on the keyboard, and I'm so laborious," McCain admits.

Great job, Barack Obama Advertising Gurus! You have just created an ad poking fun at John McCain's war injuries. Had Senator Obama shown up for work a bit more, he may have noticed that Chairman part, too.

UPDATE -
It just occurred to me those whizkids at Camp Obama had their own technical snafu - 3am text message anyone? Not only was there an overload issue with getting the message out (hmm, that couldn't have been planned for) but they didn't even think through the logistics of getting Biden out without anyone in the press noticing! They had been camped out in front of the leading contenders houses for a few days looking for activity, which came in the form of Secret Service Agents whisking Biden away under the cover of...nothing.

We Remember

We will never forget those that lost their lives in this vicious attack on our soil. We will also hold in our hearts those that have given their lives so that an attack like this has not occurred since. Your sacrifice is to be honored not just on this day, but everyday.

Thank you to all those currently serving and putting your lives at risk daily so that we may remain free and the greatest country on G-d's green earth.

My Lipstick Shade is "Angry"

Last night I was told my posts came off as angry and my verbiage beneath me. I absorbed this critique after getting over the fact that the F word was this particular person’s favorite noun, verb and adjective. The person in question really had my best interests at heart, and because I don’t use profanity in my everyday speech, I understand how reading it from me would feel abnormal. I then turned to the “angry” part and realized I am, in fact, angry.

Its righteous anger, though. I keep hearing self titled Feminists spouting messages on behalf of all womankind that don’t even come close to what I stand for. I keep hearing the likes of Joy Behar tell Larry King that Sarah Palin is a step back. Why is she a step back? Because she isn’t liberal. I am angry with this and want to scream, “All women are not like you, Joy! Or you, Sally Quinn! So shut up and think that maybe your message is no longer relevant. Maybe women DON’T want to be feminists, they want to be feminine and that doesn’t mean they aren’t strong and capable.” I also find it incredulous that a man who says the following has a real shot at being POTUS:

On Monday in Michigan, Obama became exercised when talking about the need to give even suspected terrorists legal rights.

“We may think this is Mohammed the terrorist,’’ he said at a campaign rally, but “it might be Mohammed the cab driver. You might think its Barack the bomb-thrower. But it might be Barack the guy running for president.’’

Continuing, he got more heated, his voice booming. Referring to the Constitution, he said: “Don’t mock the Constitution! Don’t make fun of it! Don’t suggest that it’s un-American to abide by what the founding fathers set up! It’s worked pretty well for 200 years!’’

He finished with a sigh: “These people."

I am one of Those People. The Constitution (and the Bill of Rights part, which is what Senator Obama is really referencing here) has worked well for 217 years, no thanks to the Democrats who attempt to dismantle it at every turn. I would love to have the Senator show me when in history we have granted rights to enemy combatants captured on the battlefield outside our borders the same rights granted to American Citizens. Our Fathers were quite clear in the power given to the Executive Branch to fight wars – not the Judiciary (the separate part of the separate but equal). The Constitution does not say anywhere that Non-Americans have this right, because the Founding Fathers never meant to give it!

In fact, the Founding Fathers allowed for The Writ to be suspended against Americans in times of war. They did this so when we are faced with Mohammed the Cab driver, who insists on passengers subscribing to his fanatical beliefs, which happen to be the same beliefs espoused by Mohammed the Terrorist, we figure out if Mo the Cabbie happens to also be Mo the Head Remover. As for Barack the Bombthrower, oh never mind, an Ayers reference here would be way too easy.

As a Constitutional Lawyer, none of this should be news to Barry. Or maybe not as only 29% of his supporters feel the Supreme Court should decide their cases based on the Constitution. So yes. I am justifiably angry, and I get angrier the more I come to realize half of our population is blindingly stupid.

Obama / Biden - Stuck on Stupid

If there wasn't a chance this guy could be leading our country, this would be funny. Biden, heretofore known as "The Oracle" decreed that he was the cause of the success in Iraq. In other news in Bidenland, Al Gore discovered global warming was the direct cause of Yeti extinction AND has caused all Dem's brains to melt, therefore the dumbass comments and ideas spewing forth right now are not really their fault. It's Bush's fault.

So, anyone pay attention to the hullabaloo over the "Bridge to Nowhere"? Specifically how Palin was originally FOR it? And the fact that she was originally FOR it just proves how dumb and inexperienced she is? Except Gov. Palin did kill the bill when she discovered the ins and outs of it, but guess who DID vote for funding this bridge instead of transferring the money to Katrina victims? Why its our own Hopey McChange and his trusted side kick Oracle Biden!

Moving along. The wunderkinds in Camp Obama decided the best way to deal with the Sarah Palin threat was to inform "the girls" that this selection was obviously an incredible insult to womankind. Without haste, Gloria Steinham, Sally Quinn, and the entire cast of the MSM was dispatched to say it was so, therefore it should be. As with most Camp Obama brain thrusts, this fell flat. So flat that there was a 20 point shift in white women TOWARD McCain. Heh.

Finally, there was dancing in the streets when Obama's poll numbers got to 50% for the first time. "Woohoo!" shouted Dems across the land. Well, USAToday/Gallop poll has McCain 54 to Obama's 44 (poll of likely voters). In fact, McCain is leading the way in most of the other polls, too. Can I get a woohoo? Seriously, I think its a bit too early for these numbers to mean a whole lot, I'll be more comfortable if the lead widens and it is sustained. But still, its fun to point out Team McCain got a much bigger "convention bump" than Camp Obama. Plus, Gov. Palin's speech was viewed by more people than the ONE's. Methinks Barry O's ego is a might bruised at this moment.

Sure You Did, Barry

Barry O has sudden recall where he says he considered joining the Army. He failed to mention this in BOTH of his memoirs, but who are we to quibble?

Barry says he considered this while having to register for the Selective Service when he graduated from High School. This is all fine and well, but when Barry graduated, he wouldn't have HAD to enroll. The Selective Service was suspended in 1975 and didn't get reinstated until 1980 by Jimmah Carter, who made it retro to males born on or after January 1, 1960. Barry would have had to enroll, but NOT when he graduated high school and he specifically states "when graduating from High School" in the interview. Details, details. (Jimmah reinstated this because he was afraid of the Soviet Union. That showed them, no doubt!).

PS - I liked John McCain's speech. It had its dull moments; it certainly didn't continue the momentum that Sarah Palin started, but it was a good, bare bones "this is what I mean" speech which I will take any day over a fantastic orator that leaves you asking, what did he say he was going to do?

Impending Seething from CAIR

Hate to say I told you so, but I told you so. The Hamas linked Council on American Islamic Relations is upset about Rudy's "Islamic Terrorist" statement. They say it was divisive rhetoric. Let the seething commence!

Its Worse Than I Thought...

The critique they come up with is her hair? Oh despiration, thy name is Democrat.

Sarah Palin!!!!!

Wow. Just wow. This, my friends, is why I wanted Palin on this ticket long before anyone was discussing her. I have a girl crush, I admit it. She is smart, she is pretty, she says the things I think. John McCain, thank you. Dems? I think you can get hemlock on the Internet.

She took on the attacks her family has faced - she said Hey! We aren't perfect! We face the same ups and downs as everyone. She is (gasp) normal. She took on the journalists and says she isn't going to Washington to gain their good favor. HA! She took on the attacks on her experience by noting she has had real responsibility unlike you know who. She notes that Obama tries to speak to the "regular" people, but then slams them about clinging to religion when he thinks those people aren't listening. She just called him out for the elitist he is. She spoke to parents of special needs children, she spoke to veterans, active duty military, military moms. I have a vested interest in that, she pointed out what we know - we need someone who advocates for them. She popped Barry o for his self designed presidential seal. She calls Barack out for authoring two memoirs, but no laws. She got him on his Greek temple columns, asking what Obama is going to do now that the Styrofoam columns are heading back to the studio lot.

Oh, and she put the luxury jet on ebay. EBAY. Hey Gore, are you listening? SHE PUT THE JET ON EBAY!

This speech was a mixture of humor, honest emotion and serious discussion on her mission as VPOTUS. Sarah Palin, you are smokin' hot.

And then....the man himself. I have to repeat this: We rock.

Rudy!

Quickly - Cindy McCain is gorgeous. She is playing with Trig and it does NOT look forced at all. Todd Palin looks like his buttons are going to pop off with pride. Sarah has a beautiful family, just gorgeous.

Now Rudy - Dems, do you hear that chant? That is U-S-A, U-S-A. What was it you guys chanted? O-Bam-A was it? Is the difference lost on you?

I am liking Rudy's resume analogy. He worked as a community organizer. First problem! 130 times he couldn't make a decision! Rudy is nailing the One. Selected gems from Rudy:

You have to make a decision as President. Being present isn't good enough! (Oh, Barry O, this must hurt. Sometimes the truth is painful. When Rudy says you have no experience leading? He is right. Seriously.)

OH WOW. Change is not a destination just like hope is not a stategy. Brilliant. Can Rudy be Attorney General? Or Sec. of State?

Rudy dared say "Islamic Terrorists"! Seething in 5,4,3,2,1....He is spot on. More gems: Who are we insulting? Terrorists. Rudy apologizes to Barack that Sarah's hometown isn't cosmopolitan enough. Then zings "they might cling to religion there". Rudy is on fire. (Cindy is holding Trig).

Rudy wraps up by pointing out the hypocrisy of the left - their sexist attitude toward women as displayed in their outrage toward Sarah Palin, the fact our party was against slavery, it was a great, great speech. I am diggin the chant is Drill Baby Drill!

NOW SARAH!!

Our Convention Rocks

Seriously. Last night, Fred Thompson reminded me why he was my pick for nominee. Why couldn't he bring the A game he had last night during the primaries? Oh well, McCain salvaged himself with Sarah Palin.

Tonight, Michael Steele was a wow. Drill, baby, drill! Mitt was great, too. I need to point out that Huckabee impressed me. Not enough that I like him, I think he is slimy, but he became a bit less slimy when he pointed out Sarah Palin got more votes running for Mayor of Wassilla, AK than Biden got running for president. ZING!

Linda Lingle is a poor speaker, but she did a great job of defusing the grandchild issue, please note it was announced to cheers. This situation makes Sarah Palin real - she is dealing with a situation many mothers across this nation have and are dealing with, they can empathize with her.

Ok, next topic? RUDY!!!

Newt Spanks the Press on Palin

This is golden, just golden. Little reporter guy looks like he is going to cry!

Biden - It Starts

I'll get to coverage on the Republican Convention in a bit - but in the mean time, let me just point out what Biden (the Tweedle Dummer of the Obama/Biden ticket) has promised to do should he make it to the White House: Look through all Bush Administration records and prosecute should/when they find it to underscore that no one is above the law.

Yes - let's put the previous administration in jail once in office because, you know, that doesn't reek of a fascist state, does it? Isn't Biden an attorney? Shouldn't he know if he REALLY did this it would completely fly in the face of Congress' role of over site of the Executive Branch? Does he not get the violation of Executive powers this would be? Shouldn't it at least occur to this asshat that even if he sets aside undermining our entire system of government, he is setting a precedent that both he and Obama will face come next administration change?

It defies logic.
