Obama STILL Not Getting It

Dear old Barry goes and visits the resident witches of The View (and the Grand Pubha was there!) to talk about Uncle Rev. Wright. The hole just keeps gettin' bigger and bigger in Obamanation.

Grand Pubha Barbara Walters questioned Obama on whether he would leave this church if Wright had not retired. The fabuloso response:
Had the reverend not retired, and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn't have felt comfortable staying at the church.
When Rev. J. White accused the Unites States of infecting its citizens with HIV in order to eradicate a race, that goes a bit beyond "inappropriate" wouldn't you think? Calling this great nation the Unites States of KKK America is slightly more than mischaracterization as well. This statement just proves Barry don't get it. Or he subscribes to these thoughts too. Either way, its not a good thing.

THIS JUST IN! THE HOLE GOT DEEPER!

In Barry's coffee klatch today he makes mention of Uncle Rev. Wright's acknowledgement of having said offensive and bad things - though there is zero in the way of public record of this happening. When checking back with Barry O's camp they did the right thing - they denied Barry said it.
Obama spokesman Bill Burton said the senator's remarks did not imply that Wright has expressed misgivings about his statements.

"Sen. Obama was clearly saying that were Rev. Wright not retiring, he would need to be assured that the reverend understood why what he had said had deeply offended people and mischaracterized the greatness of this country," Burton said.

Ummm.... okay.... I am still thinking the Obama camp really could use a crash course in Clintonian Not Truth Telling 101. Just sayin'

One Misspoke - The Other Sticks Foot In Mouth - Again

Ay yi yi.

Hillary, in an attempt to convince us that 8 years as first lady makes her more than qualified to be President, tells a little tale about landing under sniper fire in Bosnia. But it didn't happen (shocker). Her campaign then goes on to tell us Ms. Clinton "misspoke". In a prepared speech. On an event that she wrote about in her book "Living History". But she misspoke, this time, y'all, really.

In the other corner we have Mr. Obama who has become a constant and consistent source of entertainment. When he is not going around refusing to severe ties with his crazazy Pastor all the while throwing his typical white grandmother under the bus, we find that Obama's national campaign co-chair (and his point person for all things military), Gen. Merrill McPeak is hostile toward Isreal. Just like Susan Powers and Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Anyone notice any sort of theme here in the Obama camp? Gen. McPeak states American Jews are at fault for preventing peace in Isreal. (via Powerline blog)

Robert Goldberg at the American Spectator provides the details. Goldberg points to a 2003 interview McPeak gave to the Oregonian newspaper, which included this exchange:

McPeak: We don't have a playbook for the Middle East. You know, for instance, obviously, a part of that long-term strategy would be getting the Israelis and the Palestinians together at . . . something other than a peace process. Process is not a substitute for achievement or settlement. And even so the process has gone off the tracks, but the process isn't enough. . . . We need to get it fixed and only we have the authority with both sides to move them towards that. Everybody knows that.

Q: So where's the problem? State? White House?

McPeak: New York City. Miami. We have a large vote - vote, here in favor of Israel. And no politician wants to run against it.

McPeak goes on and calls Israel's want to defend itself as "radical". Interesting. Does Obama feel the same way? I would hazard a guess that based on the people he is surrounding himself with that answer is a resounding yes. Remember, this guy McPeak, should Obama become president, stands a real chance at being Sec Def. Egads.

The Speech

My what a difference a few days makes. First we hear that in 20 years our change agent had never heard these horrible things uttered from Uncle Rev. Wright. In fact he was just shocked (shocked!) to hear them after voting all day (do you suppose he puffed some flour in his face to make it look like he had been actually doing something a la the commercial for rice crispy treats?). Someone told Barry O that this little statement didn’t pass ANYONE’S smell test so what do we get today? A flowery lecture disguised as a speech in which Barry tells us YES I HEARD REV. WRIGHT SAY BAD THINGS BUT...

But what. But you couldn’t leave because Rev. Wright is like an Uncle to you? The key word there, Mr. Obama is LIKE. He isn’t really an Uncle, you chose to be associated with him by your own free will, with this, you have been just fine with the vile and disgusting things this man has spewed the entire 20 years you’ve known him. Sorry it caught up to you like this. Not really, I am not sorry. I am only sorry it took this long to go main stream. And you know what else? You aren’t sorry he said them. Your carefully chosen words “remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church” tell me you aren’t sorry at all. Could be considered? Could be? Baby, those words are beyond controversial and are smack dab into disgusting.

Barack Obama goes on an on that this anger is embedded in the black culture. If we just understood this, we would know (duh) where the roots of the spewing come from. We would understand victim hood, and then we could get somewhere, like solving health care and education. Rev. Wright is good, he cares for people with Aids (presumably the same people who got HIV/Aids from the demon white government, no?) And he is POLITE to white people, what more do you want?

The speech attempts to justify Rev. White’s racism, justify why Barack is ok with the Reverend being racist (the guilt card is thrown down a lot – don’t forget his Grandmother even said hateful things to him about black people, she was white you know), and basically let’s us all know that simply by virtue of being black, its ok to say horrible, hurtful things without fear of repercussions. You are either a victim or a racist. I haven’t bought this and I don’t buy it now even packaged in Hope McChange’s pretty box and bow.

What we are left with is the realization that Barack Obama is nothing more than a lying, opportunistic politician. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Jules Crittenden has an excellent piece on PajamasMedia. Speech is Free - But Only If Politically Correct

The PC lesson of the day: The truth hurts. That’s why it must be avoided at all costs.

How can we ever thank the Democratic Party, its two remaining presidential candidates and their campaigns? I don’t know. But if the American people, some of whom can be fooled all the time, all of whom can be fooled part of the time, have noticed what is going on, they may well thank the Democrats in their own way.

Go read the whole thing - its particularly funny when the libs ideas of social justice come around and bite them in the ass.

Trouble in Obama Nation

Wright Leaves Obama Campaign
UPDATE - BARRY O GOES ON FOX
(details below)

Spokesman Tommy Vietor emails:

"Rev. Wright is no longer serving on the African American Religious Leadership Committee."

That cuts Wright's only formal tie to Obama, and answers what was sure to be a question in Obama's interviews tonight: If Geraldine Ferraro had to leave the Clinton campaign, why is Wright different.

Will this make a difference? It shouldn't. Obama has been going to this church for 20 years. Wright married Michelle and Obama, he's baptized their children, he was the inspiration for The Audacity of Hope. The Obamas gave this church over $22,000 in 2006 (which might also answer Michelle's problems with paying for those piano lessons). We are to believe simply saying see ya now means Obama hasn't been affected by this man? Please.

I think there is a direct connection between Mr. Wright's substitution of "G-d Damn America" for "G-d Bless America" and Mr. Obama's refusal to wear the American flag on his lapel or participate in anything patriotic. By the way, who the heck puts their hands over their genitals knowing thousands died for that flag? This idiot who thinks he can be President.

In all the ruckus, the one who wants to be a brave leader goes to the Huffington Post to reply. The Huffington Post? Oh you have cojones of steel, brother! To save you the trouble (and the antacid usage) the key passage is here:

"The statements that Rev. Wright made that are the cause of this controversy were not statements I personally heard him preach while I sat in the pews of Trinity or heard him utter in private conversation. When these statements first came to my attention, it was at the beginning of my presidential campaign. I made it clear at the time that I strongly condemned his comments."
Really? Mr. Obama, I suggest some time with the Clintons to better hone the art of lying.

In Monday’s interview, Mr. Wright expressed disappointment but no surprise that Mr. Obama might try to play down their connection.

“When his enemies find out that in 1984 I went to Tripoli” to visit Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi, Mr. Wright recalled, “with Farrakhan, a lot of his Jewish support will dry up quicker than a snowball in hell.” Mr. Wright added that his trip implied no endorsement of either Louis Farrakhan’s views or Qaddafi’s.

Mr. Wright said that in the phone conversation in which Mr. Obama disinvited him from a role in the announcement, Mr. Obama cited an article in Rolling Stone, “The Radical Roots of Barack Obama.”

According to the pastor, Mr. Obama then told him, “You can get kind of rough in the sermons, so what we’ve decided is that it’s best for you not to be out there in public.”

For those who need a quick recap:

1. This guy is a socialist
2. This guy hates America and white people
3. This guy's friends and family plan includes admitted domestic terrorists, unrepentant to this day
4. This guy isn't a Muslim himself, but likes them a whole lot better than the "Zionists" and will certainly cave to their extreme and not so extreme factions
5.This guy will raise our taxes to oblivion crashing the market
6. This guy buys property like the Clinton's buy cattle futures
7. This guy will be appointing judges that will make Ruth Bader Ginsburg look like...well, me!
8. This guys grip on reality is less than the Clintons.

Yeah - he'd make a fine POTUS.

Old War Dogs (I love those guys!) is following this too.

Ok - so we are to believe that Barry goes to this church 20 years but doesn't know this is how Uncle Pastor Wright feels? I am sorry, but if you don't know this is going on with someone you are that close too, you are absolutely not qualified to be president. And please don't tell us you skipped a few sermons when your first child was born, I sincerely doubt all this hate stuff happened conveniently then. To say you didn't hear these statements until yesterday is disingenuous at best. Barry O's church gives a shout out to Sean Hannity (its played on the radio show over and over again) during is webcasted sermons! The blogosphere has been screaming about this for going on 9 months now, it just so happens the MSM now decided to pick it up. If there aren't minions listening in to conservative talk radio or scanning the blogs for the pulse of whats really going on, then again, Mr. Obama, you have no business running for dog catcher let alone President.

Grab more popcorn, folks. I hear a scream somewhere in the distance....

As we've said Time and Time again...They DON'T SUPPORT THE TROOPS

From the Berkeley Daily Planet:
We need to expose that those in the U.S. military are trained to be part of a “killing machine.” While not every member of the military is an individual murderer, they are all part of a system that commits war crimes, including aggressive wars, massacres, rape, and other crimes against humanity, all in the service of U.S. imperialism. The bottom line is that even if these people are relatives or friends, you can not support the troops without also supporting the objective role that these troops play in the imperialist system.
The author of this craptastic piece of work, Keith Theisen, goes on to compare our soldiers to the Nazis. Fantastic. Oh, and I told you so, didn't, I?

Best Dem Bumper sticker EVAH

from Michelle Malkin

They Are Eating Their Own

I've been away from the blogging scene for a bit but the Dems are just making this too juicy to stay away. You can't make this stuff up! Geraldine Ferraro says Barry is where he is because *gasp* he is black. Well no shiz, Gerry. But who are you to complain? Isn't this equality message what you have been screeching about for like 100 years now? Isn't this your dream? Is it our fault you are now being bitten in the behind by the anti-logic of affirmative action? Honestly, we can rid ourselves of that now, right? I mean we have a black man and a woman running for president! Let us not cry about what can't be done in this country any more (this means you, Michelle Obama). Welcome to equality, Hillary! You are being treated just like a white, republican male. You won, you women's libber! Go you! What's that? Its costing you the presidency? Oh, that's a shame. Really. Sorry about that bit of schadenfruede (que stand by your man for another twist of irony to just add to the moment).

Actually, I think Barry O is where he is for 2 reasons: 1. He is black and a bit untouchable otherwise you get labeled a racist, even if you are flag waving, card carrying, dyed in the wool moonbat lib like Geraldine Ferraro. 2. His campaign is sending out a consistent message. A screwed up, really scary message, but a consistent message nonetheless.

In other news of Dems eating their own, it looks like Keith Olberman is taking on our girl Hillary. Grab some popcorn, this ought to be fun!
